Dr Jaime Ferrán y Clúa (Corbera de Ebro, 1851-Barcelona 1929), worked on vaccines against cholera, rabies and tuberculosis, though the application of his vaccines sometimes caused public controversy, and were fobidden by the authorities in Spain.
