First published in 1745 as 'An easy spelling-dictionary' which formed volume 3 of the first edition of 'The circle of the sciences', the first separate edition is 1748. This would appear to be the sixteenth or seventeenth edition of the work, which, while relatively abundant in academic and university libraries, is quite rare in commerce. Binding worn, missing endpapers, but otherwise complete.
