The cover, illustrated with corn leaves and ears of corn, features a rolled-up fabric ‘pergamino’ with a watercolour portrait of Martí, holding a watch, and decorated with ears of corn; this pergamino is tied with corn leaves, and the same material has been used in the construction and fastenings of the slipcase. The inside pages and flaps are decorated with corn men and ears of corn, some cut out and painted in watercolour; the front cover is a large fold-out. This is one of the most inventive and attractive Vigía artist's books.
