Stapled, with plain card covers and a kraft dust jacket made of paper decorated with "yaguas y pencas de Palmas Reales del matancero Valle del Yumurí", and featuring various cut-out or torn pieces of paper bearing Esteve’s hand-illuminated drawings and titles. The texts are reproduced by mimeograph (with all the flaws typically associated with that now archaic process,) on white and brown paper. The pages are decorated with a series of drawings by Esteve, illuminated with watercolour. At the end of the magazine, the ‘pergamino’, a 77 cm insert, features a poem by Lezama Lima. The texts are by Roberto Méndez, Antonio José Ponte, Juan Luis Hernández Millán, Carlos Zamora Rodríguez, Derek Walcott (translated by Nancy Morejón), Aramis Quintero, Lincoln Capote Peón, Víctor Fowler, etc. Estevez’s drawings pay homage to the avant-garde painters who contributed to the magazine Orígenes: Portocarrero, Amelia, Lam, Mariano, Lozano, etc. Copy number 20 of a print run of 200. Very fine copy. Extremely rare: WorldCat lists only one copy in the Library of Congress.
