Voronoff was an extraordinary surgeon publicist, and possibly charlatan who advocated (and practised) testicular transplants to rejuvenate his patients. One of the operations that he would practise was transplanting the testicles of executed prisoners into the bodies of older, wealthy patients to restore their youthful vigour.
Some foxing and marks on the covers; interiors very clean.
