This is the first edition of Machiavelli's works to contain the Anti-Machiavel, written by Frederick the great and published by Voltaire two years earlier in London. Spines lightly rubbed, some corners bumped, small defect in the binding of vol. 1, minor water stain in the preliminaries (which never extends beyond the titles pages). An attractive set.
