Mimeographed text on kraft and other coarse papers. The cover is decorated with a beautiful collage of papers in various colours and textures, featuring a hand-coloured drawing of Matanzas and a white owl, with its nest made of wood shavings, mounted in relief. This issue contains some charming decorative touches, such as the paper bottle mounted on the front cover, sealed with a real cork, or the beautiful, avant-garde design of the "pergamino" featuring short poems by Seboruco, the Matanzas-born poet Hernández Alemán (1857–1918). Original poetry by Fina García Marruz, and a text by Antón Arrufat, in which he describes his nine years of punishment in the Marianao Library for having written Los Siete contra Tebas. This was part of the regime’s repressive crackdown known as the Padilla Case, although the Arrufat Case received less attention as it involved a slower, more protracted, and less dramatic form of punishment. Number 145 of a print run of 200 copies. More photos on our website.
