The cover consists of a collage of torn pages from Canadian and Italian tourist magazines, overlaid with typographic titles using large wooden type (it’s hard to believe, but in Vigía’s publications you see everything except letterpress printing, which is a shame...) Correction: according to the colophon (which is where one should look first), it states that both the titles and the emblem are screen-printed... I could have sworn the printing was letterpress.... On the back cover is the publisher’s lamp with a frame of crumpled wrapping paper, the only wrapping paper to be found in this issue(!) The interior pages are reproduced on a risograph printer and incorporate covers from the magazine Social from the years 1917 to 1923, these being hand-illuminated. Texts by Sonia Díaz Corrales, Osmany Oduardo, Ismael González Castaner, etc. The parchment, with a design similar to that of the cover, is by Caribbean Nobel laureate Derek Walcott.
