Hardback, publisher's cloth-backed boards with (very worn) dustjacket.
Presentation copy to W. A. Darlington, 'to Bill from Jan 28/X/46'. Darlington was for 40 years theatre critic for the Daily Telegraph and translator of Fabricius's plays into English. He is mentioned in the book on page 154: loosely inserted is a typed translation of this reference. In his autobiography, 'I do what I like', 1947, Darlington describes Fabricius as, 'one of my truest and most valued friends'. Dustjacket very worn and sometime repaired, some insect loss to the edges of the boards.
