Sewn with jute twine, with corrugated cardboard covers (this binding does not aid reading, the inner margin is too narrow); these covers are decorated with pieces of fabric (some kind of coarse felt), more pieces of cardboard, and cut-out and mounted titles and drawings. Text rrisographed on white paper, with three plates (2 fold-outs). Hanging from the book are a cardboard bookmark and a flattened Cuban beer can; for the endpapers there are two sheets of a Cuban newspaper; and glued to the inside of the back cover is a 'Sales Control for Food Products' notebook - a real Cuban ration book. At first, it seems like a curious collection of decorative elements, but upon reading the text, it becomes clear: this little theatrical work is a satire against the Cuban regime, with its themes of a hungry people, its leader who is a 'Paradigm', its violent henchmen, etc., etc. Maybe I am misinterpreting the message, but it seems quite clear; and if so, this is the boldest and most independent Vigia production, perhaps a display of the freedom they enjoy (or of the messages that can be conveyed through satire). Signed by the translator, and with a symbol by the author. No. 22 of a print run of 200 copies. This is one of my favourite Vigías: I love the punk crushed beer can, and the immense valour of the content as a comment on the Cuban regime.
