Cover and text risographed on unbleached paper. The cover has been covered with black crepe paper, decorated with hand-trimmed and torn designs on various papers, wrapped in a net (attached toi a stick), with the lettering and illustrations. This double covering of the nude figure serves to reinforce his nudity. Illustrated folding title page. This is one of the earliest uses of risography in Ediciones Vigía. Arrufat, whose 1968 prize winning play 'Siete contra Tebas' was censored by the Cuban government, was persecuted by the regime throughout the 'quinquenio gris' of cultural Stalinization in the 1970s, banned from publishing, and obliged to work in the windowless room in the basement of a library, refused access to any writing materials, on account of his homosexuality and political non conformity.
