Cover by Henri Matisse, edited by Fayad Jamís. The Mexican poet Eraclio Zepeda, was born in Chiapas in 1937 and was closely associated with the Cuban Revolution in its early years. He was a friend of the writers Nicolás Guillén, Alejo Carpentier, Félix Pita Rodríguez, Roberto Fernández Retamar, Fayad Jamís and played football with Che Guevara. During the Bay of Pigs invasion of 1961, he enlisted in the militia to defend the Revolution.
