Covers decorated with hand-trimmed, watercoloured illustrations, pieces of cloth and two bunches of cotton thread. The risographed text is decorated with scraps of yellow paper. Number 137 of 200 copies. Arrufat, whose 1968 prize winning play 'Siete contra Tebas' was censored by the Cuban government, was persecuted by the regime throughout the 'quinquenio gris' of cultural Stalinization in the 1970s, banned from publishing, and obliged to work in the windowless room in the basement of a library, refused access to any writing materials, on account of his homosexuality and political non conformity.
